GPs on Curzon is a fully accredited private Practice and the Doctors are private billing General Practitioners. Every effort is made to keep fees modest whilst enabling high-quality service delivery. Medicare rebates apply to most attendances, and our reception team will assist with processing your claim directly to Medicare at the time of payment.

About GPs on Curzon
In late 2014, GPs on Curzon undertook a series of changes and was purchased by Dr Rachael Gray and Dr Diana Sampson. GPs on Curzon is still a privately owned, full service medical practice in the Medici Medical Centre on Curzon Street, East Toowoomba. Dr Jess Madsen joined as an owner in 2022.
Owned and operated by doctors, we offer patients a more personal approach to their health needs. Both Dr Rachael Gray and Dr Diana Sampson work as General Practitioners at the practice, along with a team of other professionals.

GPs on Curzon would like to welcome Dr Sharmin Akter.![]()

Dr Sharmin Akter obtained her medical degree in Bangladesh. She moved to Toowoomba for her junior doctor training in 2020 and has since settled here with her young family.![]()

She worked at Toowoomba base hospital for more than 3 years before joining General practice, spending a lot of her time in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Paediatric department. In addition to her medical degree, Sharmin holds a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney.![]()

Sharmin enjoys seeing all aspects of patients in General Practice, however, she has special interest in chronic disease management, children and women’s health.![]()

Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her young family, enjoys travelling gardening, and reading books.![]()

Dr Sharmin Akter is available 5 days a week and welcoming new patients.
In observance of the Easter break, we will be closed from Friday, 29th March to Monday, 1st April. Regular operations will resume on 2nd April, Tuesday, 8am. ![]()
