Welcome Dr Eriko Yamashita

GPs on Curzon is excited to introduce Dr Eriko Yamashita to our team. Eriko moved to the Darling Downs area in 2017 from Brisbane. Eriko holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Pharmacy, Doctorate in Medicine and completed her Fellowship of General Practice in 2019. Eriko has worked at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and worked in the fields of women’s health, mental health and paediatrics, amongst other specialty areas. Eriko also holds a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as a Graduate Certificate in Medicine (Skin Cancer). She is currently upskilling in surgical procedures including Vasectomies, Skin Cancer Excisions and Skin Flaps. She is interested in all aspects of general practice including paediatrics, women’s health, antenatal shared care and dermatology.

Eriko is returning from Maternity leave after previously working in General Practice in Oakey, Kingsthorpe and Wyalla. Eriko, her husband, her infant son and their dog enjoy running in Queens’ park and visiting the local Cafe’s.

Welcome Dr Kate Guigues

GPs on Curzon is very excited to welcome Dr Kate Guigues. Kate completed her Bachelor of Bio Technology, then completed her Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Queensland in 2012. She has also worked at Prince Charles Hospital Brisbane; Redcliffe hospital; the QEII and Logan Hospital in Palliative care, including community Palliative Care. Kate is and is currently in her final stages of completing her Fellowship of General Practice. She has also completed a Clinical Diploma of Palliative Care. Kate enjoys all areas of general practice and has special interests in paediatrics, women’s health, chronic disease management and palliative care.

Kate Guigues (nee: Windle) recently returned to Toowoomba with her young family and has enjoyed making Toowoomba home again after growing up here. Her spare time is spent with her husband and two young children, reading and anything French.
