Meet Our Doctors
Dr Rachael Gray
Dr Rachael Gray has been a General Practitioner for over 20 years. She has worked as a Doctor in many different areas including Dirranbandi, Roma and now Toowoomba. Her main interest areas are Women’s Health, Travel Medicine and Chronic Disease Management. Rachael is married with 2 children, 2 dogs, 1 cat and loves living in Toowoomba. Occasionally you will find her out riding her road bicycle in and around Toowoomba.
Dr Diana Sampson
Dr Diana Sampson graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery with First Class Honours and a University Medal for outstanding Academic Excellence in 2009. She and her family moved to Toowoomba in 2010 for Internship at the Toowoomba Base Hospital. She entered General Practice Training in 2011 and completed her Fellowship in General Practice in 2014. She enjoys all aspects of general practice including family medicine, chronic disease management, diabetes, asthma, heart health, women’s health, menopause, family planning, shared ante-natal care, skin cancer management and preventive health care. She welcomes new and existing patients and their families to GPs on Curzon.
Dr Scott Peters
Dr Scott Peters graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1985.
He completed his General Practice Training in 1992 with the Family Medicine Training Programme / RACGP and has been a vocationally registered GP since then.
He has worked full time as a GP from 1991-2007 as the Practice Principal at Westridge Medical Centre. Since 2008 Dr Peters has worked full time at GPs on Curzon.
From 1992 -2019 Dr Peters assisted Dr Pun in Orthopaedic surgery one to 2 two sessions a week. He enjoys the diversity of general practice but has a particular interests in skin cancer management, men's health and chronic disease management.
Dr Emily Geraghty
Dr Geraghty graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2008, and completed her fellowship in General Practice in 2014. Dr Geraghty enjoys all aspects of general practice, including paediatrics and antenatal shared care. She has an interest in men's issues after spending several years in the Australian Army. Dr Geraghty enjoys women's health, and holds a Family Planning and Sexual Health Certificate. She is currently undertaking further training in Primary Care Dermatology through the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. Dr Geraghty also holds a Graduate Diploma in Genetic Counselling.
Dr Sarah James
Dr Sarah James completed her MBBS in 2006 and Master of Public Health in 2014, both at the University of Queensland. In 2018, she was awarded her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Prior to working in general practice, Sarah worked in anaesthetics and intensive care at various locations. She has a special interest in travel medicine and is a provider of Yellow Fever and Q Fever vaccines. Sarah also enjoys other areas of general practice including public health, health promotion and disease prevention, Indigenous, women’s and children’s health. She is currently enrolled in a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at James Cook University. In her spare time, she enjoys modern quilting and has no shortage of sewing projects underway awaiting completion.
Dr Aaron Coutts
Dr Aaron Coutts moved to Toowoomba in 2014 to complete his medical training, and has stayed here since. Along the way he met his wife at Toowoomba Hospital, and has worked in areas including Emergency Medicine and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
He is very excited to join GPs on Curzon in 2019, and to pursue his interests in chronic disease management and preventative health.
Before studying medicine, he spent several years at Kyoto University. Aaron enjoys bushwalking and cycling when it's warm, and a cuppa and a book when it's cold.
Aaron will be seeing new and existing patients of the practice.
Dr Jess Madsen
Dr Jess Madsen completed her first year of training as a GP at GPs on Curzon in 2017. She spent 2018 working in other practices, fulfilling a necessary requirement of the General Practice Program. During this time, she has discovered a new interest in adolescent and young adult health and has further developed her skills in the fields of public health and Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Health.
Jess is looking forward to returning to GPs on Curzon and welcoming new and existing patients.
Dr Peta Carriline
Dr Peta Carriline is on maternity leave until late 2019.
Peta moved to Toowoomba with her family in late 2017 and joined GPs on Curzon in January 2018. She graduated Medicine at James Cook University in 2008, and subsequently completed her Fellowship of General Practice FRACGP in 2013. She holds a Diploma of Child Health and is currently undertaking the FPAA National Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health. Her special interests include Women's Health through the ages (contraception, pregnancy planning and antenatal care, menopause), as well as chronic disease management and preventative health care. When she is not at work she is kept busy with her two very busy young sons.
Dr Kate Guigues
GPs on Curzon is very excited to welcome Dr Kate Guigues. Kate completed her Bachelor of Bio Technology, then completed her Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Queensland in 2012. She has also worked at Prince Charles Hospital Brisbane; Redcliffe hospital; the QEII and Logan Hospital in Palliative care, including community Palliative Care. Kate is and is currently in her final stages of completing her Fellowship of General Practice. She has also completed a Clinical Diploma of Palliative Care. Kate enjoys all areas of general practice and has special interests in paediatrics, women's health, chronic disease management and palliative care.
Kate Guigues (nee: Windle) recently returned to Toowoomba with her young family and has enjoyed making Toowoomba home again after growing up here. Her spare time is spent with her husband and two young children, reading and anything French.
Dr Eriko Yamashita
GPs on Curzon is excited to introduce Dr Eriko Yamashita to our team. Eriko moved to the Darling Downs area in 2017 from Brisbane. Eriko holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Pharmacy, Doctorate in Medicine and completed her Fellowship of General Practice in 2019. Eriko has worked at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and worked in the fields of women's health, mental health and paediatrics, amongst other specialty areas. Eriko also holds a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as a Graduate Certificate in Medicine (Skin Cancer). She is currently upskilling in surgical procedures including Vasectomies, Skin Cancer Excisions and Skin Flaps. She is interested in all aspects of general practice including paediatrics, women's health, antenatal shared care and dermatology.
Eriko is returning from Maternity leave after previously working in General Practice in Oakey, Kingsthorpe and Wyalla. Eriko, her husband, her infant son and their dog enjoy running in Queens' park and visiting the local Cafe's.
