Dr Amith Mammoottil is a compassionate GP who has over 5 years’ experience as a medical practitioner in Australia and 2 years in India. Amith grew up in Auckland, New Zealand before completing his medical training in India in 2013. He then returned to Australia to complete hospital rotations at Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane, Canberra, Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Joondalup Health Campus in Perth. Amith chose his rotations to provide the breadth of experience required for GP work, including Mental health, General Medicine, Surgery, Urology, Orthopaedics, Oncology, Obstetrics and Emergency. He was also involved in Clinical Research whilst in Perth. He commenced his General Practice Fellowship Training in Toowoomba and is currently in the final stages of completion.
Amith enjoys all aspects of General Practice with special interests in Chronic Disease Management, Mental health, Men’s health, Children’s health, and Indigenous health. Amith is Fluent in English, Hindi, Malayalam.
Amith moved to Toowoomba in 2019 with his wife and young family and was attracted to the area due to its lifestyle and good educational opportunities.
