Dr Jess Madsen returned to GPs on Curzon after completing her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019. She graduated from Griffith University in 2013. Prior to studying medicine, she completed a Biomedical Science degree at the University of Queensland. She is currently completing a Master of Public Health at James Cook University.
Jess first came to the area in 2014 to work at Toowoomba Hospital and has since made Toowoomba her home. She has worked in the local Emergency Department, in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and has provided medical supervision for a local Cardiac Rehabilitation program.
Jess is interested in preventative healthcare and chronic disease care. She strives to consider the relationship between physical, psychological, emotional and social aspects of health for all of her patients. She especially enjoys caring for adolescents and young people. Jess can provide Travel Health consultations and is a Yellow Fever vaccination provider. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the local parks with her dog.
