Dr Shahid Waheed completed his General Practice training in Queensland and obtained the Fellowship of the Australasian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) in 2016. He also holds membership of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (MCFP). He is an Academic Senior Lecturer at Griffith University, Gold Coast. He is a StAMPS Examiner and Specialist Pathway Assessor for the Australasian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (AACRRM). He has worked at various Queensland hospitals and Monash Health in Melbourne, completing his Emergency Medicine training.
Dr Shahid is a passionate, skilled team-player, teacher and an enthusiastic Family Physician. He provides the up-to-date evidence-based medicine holistic healthcare to his patients for their physical and mental health, social, cultural and other clinical needs.
Dr Shahid likes to practice all aspects of general practice with special interest in acute care, asthma, cardiovascular risk management, diabetes, paediatrics, Implanon insertion and removal.
