In Queensland, the Chief Health Officer has stated that private health facilities such as medical centres and pharmacies should develop their own policies regarding the risk posed by COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses.

Our professional bodies support health facilities to determine and adapt the best policies for current circumstances in the interests of their patients and staff.

Our policies are based on information provided by government and our professional organisations and are determined according to the best evidence available and the specifics of this particular facility and location.

At different times our measures may require mask wearing, screening for symptoms, the use of telehealth consultations and/or waiting in a specific area.
